About me

With more than two decades of experience as a general manager and manager in a consultancy environment, I thoroughly understand the challenges and responsibilities of leadership. I do not bring a naïve success story — I know what the pressure, and sometimes the loneliness, truly means when leading a company or a team and driving change.

My leadership style is always rooted in a people-centered approach, with attention to the growth of both employees and the organization, consistently linked to tangible results in business development, product development, and finance.

For me, successful collaboration across generations — combining the natural drive for innovation of younger employees with the experience and expertise of senior colleagues — is a key factor for success.

I completed studies in business economics, financial management, behavioral design, and professional coaching. As a result, I base my advice on both proven insights and 25 years of hands-on experience. The unique company culture I built as general manager at the consultancy firm Traject was not only embraced by employees, but also delivered results: the company was consistently profitable and received the “Baanbrekende Werkgever” (“Pioneering Employer”) label four times.

Throughout my career, I have guided change processes in organizations such as BNP Paribas Fortis, Crelan, Fluvius, and the City of Ghent. These trajectories have taught me how crucial it is to truly connect strategy, people, and processes.

The combination of leadership experience and expertise in behavioral change makes me a strong sparring partner for leaders who want to help their people grow while also making sound business decisions.

Why the name Peopletrail? Because my two great passions — leadership and mountains — have surprisingly much in common. Whether it is hiking in the Dolomites, ski touring in the Alps, or trekking in the Himalayas, I see the same principles at play. You need to know your ultimate destination, yet along the way every situation requires flexibility and the ability to adapt your route and decisions to changing conditions. And each time, as a leader or guide, you need to bring your team along, provide direction, and keep them motivated with the final goal in sight.
